About the role

We are seeking a talented and friendly Barista to join our vibrant team at the Mountain View Cafe in the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Maleny (please google our location before applying to make sure we are the right fit for you). In this position you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee creations, helping oversee all coffee/beverage operations and assisting with various other cafe duties. We are seeking an experienced Barista who is comfortable with producing consistent quality coffees, in a very fast paced environment all whilst being friendly and welcoming with customers. Availability to work weekends is a must. We are flexible with quantity of hours needed depending on your needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to a high standard
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests
  • Assisting with food preparation, cashiering, and other cafe operations as needed
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cafe
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience as Barista in a similarly fast paced environment, must be comfortable with jumping straight on the machine and pumping out those coffees including consistent latte art.
  • Calm under pressure
  • Availability across weekdays and weekends
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
