S2 Security Supervisor

This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week

Monday: 08:30 - 18:00

Tuesday: 06:00 - 18:00

Wednesday: 14:00 21:00

Thursday: 06:00 - 18:00

Frida: 06:00 - 18:00

Flexibility is essential to accommodate operational needs. In this position you may be required to work flexible shift hours, including weekends and Public Holidays in accordance with business and client requirements.

This role will provide site coverage on days when the main Security Supervisor are off and will be responsible for ensuring that we are delivering the highest standards of both customer and security services in a dynamic work environment.

The role requires an experienced individual with excellent knowledge in site security, building management systems and fire control systems, and the application of standard operating procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the site-based control room and CCTV system
• Effect hazard risk management principles to mitigate risks
• Participation in on-the-job training and using initiative to gather further business intelligence around new and/or unfamiliar/ad hoc duties.
• Effective patrol of premises, including (if applicable) vehicular patrol
• Respond to calls for assistance and respond to alarm events
• Assess and respond to situations of risk
• Implement effective strategies for engaging with young people
• Communicate effectively with all persons whilst on-duty
• Use communication systems including portable two-way radios
• Provide advice, directions and display a willingness to assist all persons whilst on-duty
• Promote and maintain workplace health and safety
• Input data on site/client systems, as required by site SOPs

Key Selection Criteria:

• Security License including crowd control function
• HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
• HLTAID002 Provide Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Supervision Experience
• Retail Security Experience
• Proficiency in CCTV
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Aptitude to apply sound emergency response principles
• Ability to work in large teams in the security industry
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivated
• Will act as second in command for main supervisor
• Retail security industry experiences essential
