Living Building Solutions (LBS) is a multidisciplinary Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) consultancy committed to providing the construction industry with innovative, adaptable, and resilient solutions. Our team consists of Consultants, Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers working collaboratively across all project phases, seamlessly integrating design, consultation, and construction.

How Will You Fit Into Our Team?

We are seeking a driven consultant or Graduate (or candidate with 1-3 years' experience) to join our rapidly expanding team based in Adelaide. In this role, you will work in a collaborative team and have various responsibilities, including:

• Assist in the delivery of small to large ESD and NCC energy compliance projects
• Conducting modelling, analysis, and optimisation of building energy usage, water consumption, daylighting
• Supporting the preparation of ESD town planning submissions

Who Are We Looking For (Favourable Attributes)?

We are seeking a candidate who exhibits the following attributes:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (with a preference for Sustainability or Mechanical), Architecture, Environmental Science, or a relevant field.
• Engineering students who have not completed their mandatory work experience requirements will be considered if they are the best fit for team.
• Demonstrates a strong passion for environmental sustainability and sustainable design principles.
• Possesses the capacity to analyse and interpret technical documentation.
• Displays the ability to gather, prepare, and collate technical information for comprehensive and detailed reports.
• Excels in effectively communicating technical information through both written and verbal formats with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, adept at cultivating positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Exhibits self-motivation, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Embraces teamwork and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred experience, though not mandatory, includes:

• Familiarity or enthusiasm for building services design or building thermodynamics
• Proficiency with 3D modelling software (such as DesignBuilder, IES, Autodesk, SolidWorks)
• Proficiency in NatHERS Software (FirstRate 5, HERO, BERS)
• Familiarity or experience with Green Star, NABERS, BESS, LCAs
• Understanding or have a curiosity about sustainability and the National Construction Code)
