Dog Walker

Mad Dogs & Englishmen Albany Creek is looking to expand and hire a reliable person to join our crew of dog walkers.

Operating in various suburbs from Stafford through to Cashmere, your role will be to pick up our beloved pups for a fantastic adventure out at the local dog parks or creeks during the day, and then return them home, happy and tired for their owners.

Your responsibilities involve:

• Driving a panel van to collect and drop off dogs to and from their homes
• Supervising groups of up to 4 dogs at off-leash dog parks or creeks
• Taking photos and videos of each outing to share with the dog's owners on our social media

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about dogs
• Confident handling dogs of all sizes as we accept all breeds
• Able to read dog body language
• Reliable, honest, and trustworthy
• Punctual and efficient
• Great attention to detail
• Able to work independently
• Able to work in the heat, mud, and rain as we operate in all weather year round

Our requirements:

• Open/Manual drivers license
• Confident to drive a panel van
• Over 18
• Smart phone with the ability to capture and send high quality photos and videos
• Reliable mobile data plan to send photos and videos throughout the day
• Availability Tuesday - Thursday from 7:30am (initially you will be starting with half days but will offer more hours and days as the business grows). Wednesdays guaranteed work with either Tuesdays and/or Thursdays as needed. Minimum 2 days a week guaranteed with the potential of more as the business grows.
• Police check or prepared to obtain one
• Experience working with dogs is preferred but not necessary

Experience is preferred but not necessary. You will spend the first few weeks riding with one of our handlers who will show you how everything is done. Once we are confident, we will set you up with your own van to perform the runs on your own.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
