Night Attendant

Location: Laguna Retirement Estate

Hours: 5pm to 12am followed by sleepover through to 8am

We are currently seeking Night Attendants who are committed, compassionate, and reliable to support our residents and ensure their safety and wellbeing outside of regular business hours. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a calm, structured environment and can respond effectively in both routine and emergency situations.

Hours are offered on a roster 7 nights per fortnight from 5pm, and will include working hours component where you will undertake some cleaning and general resident support, and a sleepover allowance where you will be responsible for responding to emergency call-outs only. Night and weekend penalty rates apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly and appropriately to resident inquiries, alarms, and emergency assistance requests.
• Maintain a secure and supportive atmosphere throughout the night.
• Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in shared and communal spaces.
• Monitor safety protocols and respond to emergency situations as required.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families, and team members.

Skills, Attributes & Experience:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring and empathetic approach.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage emergency situations effectively.
• Knowledge of basic healthcare principles and first aid.
• Familiarity with fire safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• A professional, discreet approach to confidentiality and boundaries.
• Alignment with our organisation's values, policies, and procedures.

Required Certifications:

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• National Police Check
