The Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Health Centre team in 2026. This part-time position (20 hours per week, across five days, term-time only) plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and wider school community. The School Nurse provides high-quality first aid, manages the administration of medications, assists with health education and immunisation programs, and liaises with parents and medical professionals to ensure the best possible care for each student. This role requires excellent communication, organisation, and clinical skills, along with a genuine commitment to the health and welfare of young people in a school environment

About You

You are a caring and professional Registered Nurse who brings warmth, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to student wellbeing in a busy school environment. Calm under pressure and highly organised, you communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and health professionals, and work equally well independently or as part of a team. You take pride in maintaining high standards of care, supporting the School's Vision, Motto and Values, and contributing positively to the broader school community.

Essential Requirements

  • Current accreditation as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
  • First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management qualifications.
  • Child Safety training (Mandatory Reporting Certificate)
  • Working with Children Check and Driver's Licence.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role or relevant nursing experience in the health sector.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable

  • Administration of Immunisations certificate.
  • Experience working in the education sector.
