About the Opportunity
  • Offer clinical guidance, manage antibiotic surveillance, and audit structures
  • Develops clinical pathways for areas where there is poor alignment to the best practice, supports sepsis management, oversee antibiotics errors and propose strategies to risk mitigate
  • Mentor JMOs, nursing and pharmacy as well as provide education on antibiotic use
  • Develops and expand research

How to Apply
  • Full AHPRA Pharmacy Board Registration with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) within a multi disciplinary environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop effective strategic relationships within the organisation.
  • Extensive clinical Pharmacy practice experience within a tertiary referral hospital, or experience in antimicrobial stewardship, or in critical care areas or haematology ward or Infectious Diseases.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of programs to manage quality use of medicines, particularly in the area of antimicrobials, or demonstrated participation in other quality improvement programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of education programs to various health professionals. .
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change.
  • Proven ability to critically review and assess practice including identifying opportunities for change and appropriate outcome measures demonstrating the change.
