Factory Hand

Position Overview:

Become a member our team as a Factory Hand, assisting machine operators and tradespeople. You'll be working with mainly mild steel with some quench and tempered plates, ranging from 1mm to 150mm thick alongside fellow factory hands and trade assistants.

Responsibilities:

• Use basic hand and power tools to refine work
• Operate presses and rollers as required
• Read and interpret complex drawings
• Operate forklifts when required
• Operate overhead cranes / gantry cranes when required

Requirements:

• Background in sheet metal work
• Own PPE and reliable transport
• Forklift ticket
• Overhead crane / gantry crane experience

What's on Offer:

• $32 per hour plus penalty rates for Overtime – rises to $38 perm
• A casual to permanent role; long-term position offered after 500 hours (3-4 months)
• Immediate start if successful
