Redpath Partners are exclusively recruiting an exceptional opportunity to join a high-performing development group with an impressive portfolio of luxury and mixed-use projects. As Legal Counsel, you'll partner closely with the senior leadership team to shape legal strategy and provide commercially focused advice across the full development lifecycle.

You'll play a key role in standardising legal processes, refining templates, managing external advisors, and ensuring projects progress efficiently and compliantly - without the pressure of billable hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical legal and commercial advice across all areas of the business and project lifecycle.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including construction, JV, development, finance, and consultancy agreements.
  • Oversee due diligence for acquisitions and disposals.
  • Manage external legal counsel to achieve cost-effective, outcomes-focused support.
  • Advise on compliance, risk, and governance matters.
  • Provide general employment law guidance and support HR with workplace compliance.
  • Develop internal templates, clauses, and policies to improve efficiency.
  • Train and guide internal stakeholders on contracts and legal processes.

Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years PQE in property, construction, or commercial law.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with an ability to balance legal and business objectives.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
