Deepcore Drilling is a leader in surface and underground drilling with extensive operations across Australia's East Coast. Due to continued expansion across Regional New South Wales, we currently have new opportunities for Driller's Offsiders to join our team.

Our Entry Level Drillers Offsider opportunities, are based on existing underground and surface mining projects, located within regional areas across New South Wales. Please note for our New South Wales sites we are looking for applicants based locally to Orange or Cobar.

Becoming a valued member in our drilling crews includes working collaboratively alongside and assisting our experienced Drillers to maintain safe drilling operations. We are currently seeking applicants local to the Orange NSW region to work on a 14 days on and 7 days off roster.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Minimising breakage and down hole loss.
  • Report all incidents immediately.
  • Ensure all prestart checks are performed diligently.
  • Discuss openly and record all hazards, near misses and improvements.
  • Ensure accuracy in sample markup (eg. Core) and orientation where applicable.

Skills and Experience

  • Open Car Licence is mandatory.
  • The ability to obtain a First Aid/CPR (Current) is a requirement.
  • An ability to obtain a National Police Clearance is a requirement.
  • Demonstrated experience in an Underground or Surface Driller Offsider role is desirable however not necessary. We are happy to accept entry-level applications.
  • You will have the ability to work 12-hour days and operate in small teams.
  • A good level of physical fitness is an inherent requirement, and the ability to pass a functional assessment.
