Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Personal Care Worker located in the Greater Melbourne Area. The Personal Care Worker will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal support. Other duties include monitoring residents' health, reporting any changes to the nursing staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Building strong relationships with residents and their families, as well as working collaboratively with the care team, is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience with personal care tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and meal support
- Excellent observational and reporting skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and empathy when working with elderly residents
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Relevant certification or qualification in aged care or personal support
- Experience working in aged care is advantageous
- Commitment to maintaining resident dignity and quality of life
