About the Role:


As a Cardiac Physiologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac services. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Perform a range of cardiac investigations including echocardiography (2D, Doppler, colour Doppler, stress and transoesophageal), stress testing, and ambulatory monitoring.
  • Assist with pacemaker and implantable device programming and follow-up, including remote monitoring.
  • Support cardiac catheterisation, electrophysiology studies, and ablation procedures.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives.
  • Provide education and supervision to junior staff and students.

This is a hands-on, patient-focused role where your expertise will directly influence outcomes and enhance the quality of care.


About You:


We're looking for passionate and skilled professionals who are committed to excellence in cardiac care. Depending on your experience, you will be appointed at AHP1 or AHP2 level.

For AHP1, you will have:

  • A relevant science or health-related degree.
  • Eligibility for registration as an Accredited Student Sonographer (ASAR) or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

For AHP2, you will bring:

  • A relevant degree plus a Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Sonography or Electrophysiology (or equivalent), and ASAR registration.
  • Extensive experience in echocardiography, pacing services, and cardiac investigations.
  • Advanced technical and interpretive skills, with the ability to work independently and mentor others.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to contribute to research, education, and service development.
