Corporate Affairs (CA) is a key function within Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA). The division coordinates and oversees internal and external communications, media relations, events, and government and industry affairs. Our role is to earn trust by advancing CBA's reputation through advocacy with internal and external stakeholders and to deliver advice and insights to inform decisions.

Do work that matters

This newly established role is created to manage and enhance operational effectiveness across supplier and agency partnerships within Corporate Affairs, supporting one of Australia's most iconic brands. You will be responsible for embedding best-in-class supplier governance practices, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement across supplier operations.

Reporting to the Strategy and Performance Lead - Corporate Affairs, you will manage supplier governance and operational delivery across Corporate Affairs' supplier ecosystem. You will work closely with Procurement, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Finance teams to ensure supplier engagements are compliant, efficient and strategically aligned.

Key responsibilities within this role:

  • Supplier Lifecycle Management: Coordinate and manage the onboarding, ongoing obligations and offboarding processes for all suppliers, ensuring alignment with CBA's Supplier Lifecycle Policy.

  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure supplier engagements meet all regulatory, legal and internal policy requirements, including risk assessments, privacy attestations and insurance validations.

  • Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain supplier guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and planning rhythms.

  • Performance Reviews: Facilitate regular supplier review sessions with relationship managers and agency partners to drive continuous improvement. Escalate concerns on an as-needs basis.

  • Registration Platform Management: Manage day to day operations of the Bank's preferred online registration platform, including escalations and Request for Proposal (RFP) coordination.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Collate and analyse supplier data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for operational efficiency.

  • Reporting Frameworks: Design and implement reporting mechanisms to track supplier performance, compliance and strategic alignment.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with CA events and communications teams to gather feedback and ensure supplier execution meets expectations.

We'd love to hear from people who have

  • Experience in supplier governance, contract management and operational delivery within a corporate environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of supplier governance, operational and compliance risk frameworks.

  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage time effectively.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen interest in process improvement.

  • Ability to navigate cross-functional stakeholder environments and influence outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Commercial acumen and ability to connect the dots.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and digital collaboration tools (advantageous but not essential).

  • A commitment to CBA's Purpose and Values.

  • Risk mindset: All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identity and understand, openly discuss, and act on current and future risks, and the ability to identify and manage business risks.
