NTT DATA is looking for a Network Operations Team Lead to support a key project in Federal Government. This role will work within the NTT DATA Network Operations Centre (NOC) and collaborate with our Client to offer crucial managed services in support of nationally important networking and monitoring systems. This partnership aligns with our customer's mission of providing safe, secure, efficient, and environmentally responsible services. The role plays an important role in in the administration and support of the infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of security, safety and reliability.

The primary objective of the Network Operations Team Lead is to ensure contracted Managed Services outcomes are delivered to the client. This role supports the day-to-day managed services operations service delivery ensuring that their IT infrastructure and systems remain stable and operational. This is done through proactively managing, overseeing, monitoring, investigating, and resolving escalated technical incidents and problems, via standard processes and procedures and adherence to security and compliance controls.

What You'll be Doing

  • Monitor ticket queues and ensure tickets are regularly updated and escalated appropriately.

  • Work independently under general direction from the client, stakeholders, or senior manager to resolve escalated incidents and requests within agreed SLAs.

  • Provide support for escalated incidents and ensure timely escalation to management with ongoing updates.

  • Act as emergency support contact for critical client and business-impacting issues.

  • Drive service delivery to clients from the NOC Operations Centre, ensuring alignment with defined Service Management Service Operations (SMSO) processes.

  • Engage with clients and collaborate with internal teams for technical operations as part of routine service delivery.

  • Measure and analyse the team's delivery capabilities to support, maintain, and manage the technical aspects of managed solutions.

  • Implement training and development initiatives for direct reports, including goal setting, performance management, and succession planning.

  • Lead recruitment activities for vacant positions within the direct team.

  • Manage resources including leave, timesheets, on-call rosters, and coverage during peak periods (e.g., holidays or extended incidents).

  • Operate within Security and Compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to enterprise governance systems and policies including WHS, Environmental, Risk, and CASA regulations.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • You must be an Australian Citizen and hold an AGSVA Baseline clearance.

  • An AGSVA NV1 clearance or higher will be well regarded.

  • A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

  • Experience with leading a network operations support team.

  • Demonstrated experience in organisational change management, including transformational initiatives that support operational maturity and team development.

  • Relevant experience supporting domain towers such as Platform, Network, Collaboration/Customer Experience, Security, and Tools & Applications.

  • Experience working in secure environments with a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and operational risk frameworks.

Technical Skills:

  • Platform: Vmware, Cisco HCI, vSAN, Windows, Linux, Cohesity, Active Directory

  • Network: CISCO SDWAN, CISCO SD Access, F5 LTM / GTM, Cisco Wireless

  • Communications / Navigation: VHF, UHF, ADS-B

  • Collaboration / Customer Experience: Cisco Voice, Cisco Contact Centre, Calabrio

  • Security: F5 ASM AFM, Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella

  • Tools and Applications: LogicMonitor, Tanium, Splunk, Rapid 7, Netbox

  • Automation / Scripting: Ansible, Powershell, Python
