Position Overview

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma-qualified Room Leader to join our vibrant team of educators working with children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. This is a dynamic leadership role with both on-the-floor engagement and approximately 4 hours of off-the-floor responsibilities per week, including a weekly face-to-face support meeting with our Approved Provider.

As a key leader in our centre, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations, guide curriculum development, and foster a nurturing, safe, and inspiring environment for both children and staff. Essential Criteria

• ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

• Current ACECQA-approved First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management

• Current ACECQA-approved Child Protection (CHCPRT001)

• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

• Legal working rights in Australia

• A personal Christian ethos

• Willingness to learn about Montessori and undertake training

• Reside near Narwee, NSW

Experience & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework, and National Quality Standards

• Proven experience in curriculum development and learning documentation

• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within an approved early education setting

• Familiarity with the Assessment and Rating process

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and support educators through coaching and performance reviews

• Lead weekly staff meetings and foster professional development

• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and safety standards

• Maintain open, respectful communication with families

• Manage daily routines, rostering, and staff coverage

• Support new family orientations and uphold centre policies

• Oversee resource management and educational programming

• Embrace ongoing training and in-service opportunities
