The purpose of the role is the coordination and delivery of security services to our client, the Dept of Defence, ensuring customer service of the highest standard.

About the role

The position is primarily responsible for Dept of Defence sites across the ACT region. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused national team, supported by a network of professionals.

The successful candidate will balance the priorities of high quality customer service, strategic planning, contractual and regulatory compliance, whilst providing leadership in managing staff and building a high performing team.

Skills & experience

The following will be well regarded in consideration of applicants:

  • Capacity to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders, including the client, regulatory stakeholders and our workforce.

  • Experience working within Defence, or equivalently regulated industries with a high focus on compliance.

  • Strong industrial relations knowledge, particularly with regard performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions and union activity.

  • Administrative competence including systems, correspondence, and time management.

  • Strong experience working with financial reporting and budgets including capacity for forensic review of data.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including capacity to advocate and problem solve taking account of multiple priorities.

  • Willingness and desire to travel regularly within the region, often requiring self driving

  • Qualifications of Cert IV or higher in leadership, management, training or other applicable discipline.
