About Star Tree Services
As an established and locally-owned company running for 39 years, we prioritise delivering premium services to our clients while fostering growth opportunities for our team members. We are a small company of two crews looking for a new member to join our team. Our clients vary from residential, schools, hospitals, real estate firms.
We have two deports, one in Wallan and one in Mansfield. We are looking for arborists in both regions.
We use a wide range of equipment and machinery to make the job easier such as 12-18 inch chippers, Avant loader, 60hp stump grinders and 15-22m EWP.
Essential qualifications:
- Certificate III in Arboriculture
- Current driver's licence (MR Truck Licence)
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Chainsaw operator certification
- Working with children card
- Minimum of 2 years experience of tree climbing
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket
- Mechanical knowledge for machinery, trucks and chainsaws
You must have the legal right to work in Australia
What We're Looking For
- A Certificate II ESI is desirable
- Experience in the industry of at least 2 years
- Certificate III in Arboriculture (mandatory)
- White Card (mandatory)
- Driver's Licence (Medium Rigid Truck Licence)
- Chainsaw licence, EWP licence
- Physically fit, reliable, and committed to working safely outdoors.
- Experience in tree climbing
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn as part of a team.
- Mechanical knowledge for machinery, trucks and chainsaws
About the Role
As anArborist with Star Tree Services, you will be part of a skilled team delivering high-quality tree care and maintenance across numerous projects. You'll be responsible for safe and efficient tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, mulching, and operating specialised equipment such as chippers and chainsaws. This role suits someone with proven technical skills, a strong safety focus, and the ability to contribute effectively within a high performing team.
What You'll Be Doing
Carry out tree pruning, removals and general tree care. Operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders and EWPs . Support safe daily operations through toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and correct PPE use. Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment to keep everything safe and reliable. Contribute to Star tree Services strong team culture and ensure worksites are left safe and tidy.
