The Role

Preparing morning tea, lunch, and afternoon snacks for the young children in our centre while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and food safety, including:

·       Preparation of nutritious meals and snacks to support the health and wellbeing of the children.

·       Create and manage quarterly rotating menus with seasonal ingredients and variety.

·       Ensuring the kitchen environment and equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

·       Communicating with Educators regarding specific dietary requirements of children and assisting them with clearing away after meals.

·       Stock control and ordering within set budget, and maintaining record keeping

About You

·       Experience cooking in a childcare centre or similar environment with dietary and allergy safe requirements

·       Ability to work well independently with great time management skill

·       Current Working With Children Check, and National Police Check

·       Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

·       Food Services Certificate is highly desirable
