Gradi are on the lookout for a qualified fitter and turner to join our dynamic team at our production factory

The Fitter and Turner will provide hands-on support on all aspects of maintenance and upkeep of all manufacturing assets, the maintenance budget, managing contractors and helping execute strategies to enhance the performance of the maintenance function and related assets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the fabrication process carefully and making safe adjustments
  • Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machine parts and packaging machinery
  • Set up and operate various machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders used in food production.
  • perform maintenance tasks when required to support overall mechanical trade activities.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams and work orders to determine appropriate manufacturing processes

What you will bring:

  • Trade qualification in fitting and machinery or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Fitter and Turner in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong knowledge of machinery processes and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.
