Your new role

In your new role as a Purchasing Officer you will join a reputable manufacturing business located in the Western Suburbs. You will be an integral part of this business responsible for duties not limited to:

  • Evaluate and compare supplier offers to ensure best value
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to meet operational needs
  • Prepare purchase reports and conduct cost analysis
  • Manage end-to-end ordering with domestic and international suppliers
  • Monitor order progress and ensure on-time delivery
  • Collaborate with management to assess product quality
  • Enter and maintain accurate production data
  • Oversee and coordinate stocktake activities

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a purchasing or procurement environment
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively with attention to detail
  • Proficient in using purchasing software and systems
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel proficiency highly regarded
  • Prior experience with importing processes is preferred
