MD Cooling is a rapidly growing HVAC installation company delivering high-quality air conditioning solutions across
residential and commercial projects
. We are seeking an experienced
HVAC Engineer (Contractor)
to join us on a project-by-project basis and support our
commercial division
.

Role Description

Design and plan HVAC systems for
large-scale commercial and industrial projects

Carry out
heat load calculations, ductwork layouts, and equipment sizing

Prepare and review
technical drawings, compliance documentation, and specifications

Provide
project management support
from design to commissioning

Collaborate with installation teams to ensure smooth execution and quality outcomes

Ensure all systems comply with
Australian Standards, safety, and energy efficiency codes

Sign off on designs and compliance documents
– must hold the
relevant Victorian licenses
to legally approve and certify jobs

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience
    in HVAC design & project management for
    large-scale projects
    (manufacturing, commercial, industrial, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of ducted, VRF, and packaged systems
  • Proven ability to work independently and deliver technical solutions
  • Engineers Australia registration (preferred but not essential)
