About Us:

Victory Minerals Pty Ltd is a successful gold explorer and producer in Victoria's gold belt. The company has entered an exciting new era, under new ownership and exploring new opportunities. The primary focus is our high-grade underground gold mine in Ballarat, which started producing gold in December 2005, and produces 30,000 to 40,000 ounces of gold per year.

The mine is located within the beautiful regional town of Ballarat, located just 100km west of Melbourne, which is experiencing unprecedented growth and development.

Roster: 8:6 or 4:3 (Initial 3-month contract with the potential to become an ongoing role)

Role:

Victory Minerals is looking for an Exploration Geologist to assist in a surface exploration program. Reporting to the Senior Drilling Geologist, the incumbent will be responsible for:

• Assist in the day-to-day management of the drill rigs.
• Conduct detail logging of drill core.
• Interpret geological information and contribute to real-time decision-making on drill program progress and targeting.
• Generate cross sectional interpretations and assist with 3D geological modelling as required.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have

• Completed a bachelor's degree majoring in geology.
• 3 years plus experience as an Exploration Geologist
• Hold a current manual driver's licence.
• Solid understanding of QAQC protocols, drilling and sampling techniques     used in gold exploration.
• Good communication skills
