You will be a conduit between the hospital and the doctors, with the ability to clearly articulate the care requirements of patients using context specific knowledge and your experience throughout the assessment process. This role will require the use of your collegial networks for referrals to meet the needs of individuals and groups, and curiosity to seek additional clinical information and evidence to validate clinical decisions.
As an integral member of the hospital leadership team, responsibilities also include collection of collateral information from referrers and family and goal setting for admitted patients. Become a part of a growing organisation, working within a supportive team of multi-disciplinary health professionals.
About You:
You will understand iMH's values, have a genuine desire to join our team and contribute to our growth with your passion for patient care and clinical leadership. You will also meet the below criteria:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a current annual practicing certificate
- Minimum of five years clinical experience in a mental health setting
- Problem solving ability and triage skills
- The ability to coordinate and manage a number of concurrent projects
- Effective time management
- Excellent communication and liaison skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional, and to work collaboratively with consumers, carers, staff, hospital accredited professionals and members of the public
- Post graduate qualifications in mental health and knowledge of private hospitals and health funds will be highly regarded
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and love to be in a pivot role critical to the effective hospital operations. You will be a self-starter, love to work autonomously and always display a high level of customer service and professionalism. If you want to be a part of this growing team, we want to hear from you.
