About the role

Brown Enterprises Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Portables Fire Technician with Vehicle Fire suppression experience to join our team in Townsville, Queensland. This full-time position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of portable fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment including Vehicle fire suppression systems across our diverse commercial and industrial client base.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular inspections and servicing of portable fire extinguishers and associated equipment
  • Installing new fire safety equipment as per client requirements
  • Diagnosing and repairing faulty or damaged fire safety equipment
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all work performed
  • Providing exceptional customer service and technical support to clients
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations and standards
  • Participating in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Some out of town work may be involved at various locations

What we're looking for

  • QBCC License
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Fire Technician or similar role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fire safety equipment, testing procedures and relevant Australian Standards
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities
  • A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Any training in Vehicle Fire Suppression systems servicing would be considered favourable.
