Education Support Traineeship

About the role
Working within a specialist school located in Melbourne's Inner Northeast, this role will see the successful candidate working Parttime, Monday to Friday whilst completing a 12-month traineeship in Education Support.
Supported by qualified professionals, you will actively engage, assist and mentor students in secondary school, and provide support to teachers within a modern classroom with outstanding facilities and exceptional programs tailored to the student.

What you will be doing
- Complete training blocks within the school holidays
- Assist teachers in the planning of student routines
- Communicate tasks to students to support understanding
- Address immediate behavioral needs of students
- Other tasks as directed
What we are looking for
- Great communication, engaging personality and people skills
- Patience, compassion and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Capable of providing physical and emotional support to students
- Passionate about education and completing a Cert III in Education Support
- Ability to complete training blocks within school holidays
- Current Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain
- Willing to complete two-day volunteer trail
