The Senior Manager, Portfolio Delivery & Enablement is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of project/initiative management within the Digital & Data, ensuring strategic alignment, investment decisions, and effective project delivery. This role involves governing the Digital and Data Portfolio of in-flight initiatives, enabling prioritisation of new initiatives, ensuring consistency in governance, and managing the Digital and Data Delivery framework to meet business needs.

Strategic Leadership:
● Evolve and maintain a robust delivery framework, including policies, procedures, templates, and methodologies.
● Establish and oversee the governance structure for all projects, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
● Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Portfolio and across project portfolios.
Delivery Gates & Multi-Methodology Facilitation:
● Lead and facilitate delivery gate reviews (which may replace or supplement traditional stage gates) to assess solution feasibility, strategic alignment, and delivery progress at critical decision points, tailoring the approach to fit a multi-methodology delivery environment (e.g., Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall).
● Collaborate with delivery leads to ensure all initiatives meet necessary criteria and governance checkpoints before advancing, adapting the criteria to the specific methodology being utilised.
● Implement and continuously refine the processes to align with the organisation's evolving strategic goals and support high-cadence, multi-methodology delivery
Framework Evolution & Implementation:
● Leverage existing group frameworks, maintain, and evolve delivery frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
● Understand bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement across the delivery process, then work with owners to implement necessary changes
● Ensure delivery framework accelerates value creation and enables agility
● Ensure standardisation across Digital and Data's portfolio of projects, initiatives and programs, promoting consistency, quality, and efficiency.
● Drive the adoption of appropriate project management approaches (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
Project Prioritisation & Investment:
● Collaborate with senior leadership to develop the project prioritisation and investment process for projects based on strategic value, ROI, and resource capacity.
● Lead the development and continuous refinement of processes for evaluating and selecting projects based on strategic fit and organisational priorities.
● Lead trimesterally planning process, collaborating with Digital and Data leadership and delivery teams to enable effective priorisation
Portfolio Management & Reporting:
● Establish performance metrics to monitor the progress of each initiative post-investment.
● Report on portfolio status, highlighting key risks, issues, and achievements to senior leadership.
● Ensure transparent and accurate reporting of project performance, financials, and alignment with business outcomes.
Tool Management & Evolution:
● Oversee the, optimisation, and evolution of the tools to ensure consistent use that enables visibility and measurement
● Ensure the tools are leveraged effectively for project tracking, reporting, and resource management.
● Continuously improve the toolsets to meet evolving business needs and drive efficiency in portfolio management and delivery.
Team Leadership & Development:
● Lead and develop a portfolio capability
● Lead and support Digital & Data's delivery guild
● Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
● Provide guidance on best practices for portfolio, program and project management, ensuring consistency across projects & missions at a top level.
● Develop and implement KPIs to measure team performance.
● Oversee recruitment, training, and development of resources.
● Mentor the team, providing coaching and growth opportunities.
● Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and skills for success.

● Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration, and building relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and provide clear, concise updates on RAID, financials, and project performance.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make decisions based on financial and risk-related information.
● Ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they become significant problems, using a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
● Remaining focused and effective under pressure, particularly in large-scale or high-stakes environments where timelines and expectations are demanding.
● Results-driven, consistently focused on achieving outcomes.
Achievements & Accomplishments:
● Experience working with digital and data product delivery
● Experience working with technology project/program delivery
● Experience working in portfolios delivering with agile, agile and waterfall delivery
● Strong knowledge of structuring schedules to align with industry best-practice whilst also adhering to internal and external compliance requirements, auditing processes, and maintaining program transparency.
● Proven experience ensuring portfolio schedules meet quality standards, from initial planning through to execution and delivery.
● Experience communicating across different levels of the organisation, from project teams to C-suite executives.
Experience & Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
● PMP or PgMP certification preferred.
● 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years of experience in an PMO leadership role.
● Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
● Proven experience in developing PMO capability
● Expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and change control.
● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
● Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
● Proficiency in Google Suite and project management software
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching skills
