The Role  
As a Director of eDiscovery, you will provide leadership to various Team Leads & Teams. You will have a wide range of technical knowledge, exceptional client interaction skills and the ability to lead certain projects while supporting others. You will maintain a collaborative and inclusive approach to promoting multiple service offerings (i.e. Managed Document Review, Forensics & Data Analytics, eHearings) as well as support advisory and sales activities including identifying and winning new business. 
 
Responsibilities  

  • Provide strategic leadership to the consulting group, aligning priorities and delivery with business objectives and core values. 
  • Deliver complete engagement by scoping projects, planning, choosing technologies, and creating efficient workflows with clients and stakeholders. 
  • Lead the development and execution of Law In Order's AI strategy 
  • Build team capability and performance by implementing coaching and development plans, conducting appraisals, giving constructive feedback, and managing performance where required. 
  • Partner with Sales and Advisory to pursue growth: craft proposals, support solution design, and prioritise participation in strategic client/sales meetings while ensuring alignment with national and group strategies. 
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert and advisor on complex matters; contribute to the knowledge base and regularly research and present on innovations and relevant case law. 
  • Drive disciplined commercial management by ensuring accurate, real‑time timekeeping and overseeing invoicing, so billing is timely and correct. 
  • Deepen client relationships: serve as a trusted advisor, and lead a proactive, cross–service‑line engagement approach to deliver a seamless client experience. 
  • Assure delivery and governance by participating in project reviews and audits, maintaining accurate/timely reporting, and keeping data security paramount through rigorous protocols. 
  • Champion service excellence across locations by setting expectations and monitoring delivery so local consulting teams consistently meet the highest standards.
  • Maintain awareness of new innovations and relevant case law, presenting on a regular basis to eDiscovery teams on relevant topics 
  • Ensure that the appropriate technology including AI is used on projects 

Selection Criteria  
The ideal candidate will be an experienced eDiscovery specialist with the ability to drive strategy and innovation while effectively managing multiple projects. 
 
You will also possess: 

  • A minimum of 10 years of legal technology industry experience especially in eDiscovery platforms like Relativity, NuixDiscover and Reveal preferably RelativityOne.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. 
  • Experience working with budgets and revenue targets. 
  • A professional and collaborative attitude. 
  • Strong project management skills and technical/analytical aptitude. 
  • Experience working on eDiscovery/regulatory matters of significant scale and importance.
  • Strong strategic and analytical orientation. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills (flexible, confident and approachable). 
  • Financial acumen (e.g. budgeting and P&L). 
  • Cross selling experience.
