About The Role
We're on the search for a Head of Marketing to head up the team shaping how millions of Australians experience one of the nation's most loved and influential brands. You'll lead the national conversation, drive standout campaigns, spark creativity and innovation and connect the ABC with audiences across every platform and every corner of the country.
You'll bring fresh ideas and fearless thinking, working alongside some of Australia's best creative, content and audience minds. Your leadership will set the tone for a modern data-driven insight-led marketing function that delivers results, builds trust in the ABC and keeps the brand relevant for generations to come.
This is a high-impact high-visibility role that matters. You'll steer strategy, grow talent and collaborate with senior leaders across divisions to bring the ABC's marketing mission to life.
Key Accountabilities
- Shape and execute integrated data-driven marketing strategies and campaigns that grow audiences, strengthen ABC's reputation and drive engagement
- Modernise marketing practices through audience insights, technology and measurement fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement
- Build, inspire and develop a high-performing collaborative marketing team aligned with ABC's priorities and values
- Oversee marketing budgets and resources efficiently to maximise impact and ROI
- Cultivate strong internal and external relationships with content teams, agencies, partners and industry bodies to deliver integrated campaigns
About You
- Ability to think strategically, inspire purpose and translate vision into actionable marketing plans
- Extensive experience in high-level marketing strategy, brand and campaign development with knowledge of technologies and regulatory best practices
- Proven experience leading large multi-disciplinary teams, developing talent and fostering a high-performance inclusive culture
- Strong ability to analyse data, solve problems innovatively and make informed decisions
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate professionalism, resilience, integrity and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
