About the Role

Are you ready to shape the future of infrastructure in Queensland? Premise is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Brisbane team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects including:

  • Multi-stage subdivision pipeline spanning feasibility to construction
  • A key section of the Inland Rail project
  • A newly launched Olympic infrastructure initiative
  • Numerous transport, water, and urban development projects

This role goes beyond technical delivery. We're looking for someone who actively seeks out new opportunities, follows up on business leads, writes compelling proposals, and builds strong industry connections to foster collaboration and growth. You'll play a key role in shaping our future pipeline while mentoring junior staff and driving excellence across every phase of project execution.

Key Responsibility
  • Lead engineering design, planning, estimation, and feasibility reporting
  • Manage project delivery from concept to completion
  • Liaise with clients, subconsultants, and approval authorities
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, reports, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Supervise and mentor engineering and design staff
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years' experience in civil engineering (10+ years preferred)
  • RPEQ registration or eligibility (highly desirable)
Required Experience
  • Experience in subdivision or urban development (highly desirable)
  • Strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant design software
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
