Assistant Venue Manager – Ricks Garage

We're looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to help lead the way at Ricks Garage, one of the Sunshine Coast's busiest and most iconic venues.

This is not a desk job. You'll be out on the floor setting the pace, keeping service sharp, and making sure our guests are getting the best of what we do – great food, cold drinks, and an unbeatable vibe.

What you'll be doing
  • Running the floor and backing up the Venue Manager as second-in-charge.
  • Coaching, motivating, and supporting a big FOH crew – from supervisors to juniors.
  • Jumping in where it counts: solving problems, leading service, and keeping standards high.
  • Getting hands-on with rosters, stock, compliance, and daily operations.
  • Playing a role in events, promotions, and new ideas that keep Rick's fresh and exciting.
What we're looking for
  • Leadership experience in a high-volume hospitality venue.
  • Someone who thrives in the buzz of service and knows how to keep a team motivated.
  • Strong organisational skills – you can juggle rosters, admin, and a busy shift without breaking stride.
  • Confidence in handling guests, coaching staff, and making the tough calls when needed.
