One of WA's most progressive gold miners is searching for Training Advisors to join a dynamic, fast paced WHS team which oversees the expansion of their impressive underground gold operations just outside of Kalgoorlie. This 8/6 FIFO role offers a friendly work life balance and career growth opportunities with a company that is shaping the future of the industry.

Typical day-to-day tasks:

  • Use of employee management software to facilitate, record and establish onboarding status

  • Knowledge around industry standards for various mining processes, mining techniques and safe work practices

  • Experience operating and training employees on vital competencies

  • Developing training plans for inexperienced employees to achieve satisfactory performance in competency assessments

  • Interpret work procedures to create comprehensive risk assessments

  • Mentor and supervise less experienced employees to ensure safety and accuracy when completing mining and processing tasks

  • Working with HSE management on team requirements and coverage

  • Develop understanding of operator competency and experience.

To be successful, you must have:

  • Experience as a Trainer Assessor in the mining and resource sector

  • Sound knowledge of current WHS regulations and mining operations

  • Cert IV training and assessment 16 or 22

  • Communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
