About Us

Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (NT), (MIFANT), is a leading non-profit organisation providing services for children and young people at risk of developing a mental illness and people living with a mental illness and their carers and families.

MIFANT is the NT representative of the nationally recognised organisations: Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia and Mental Health Carers Australia and have been providing services in the NT for over 30 years.

The Role

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the organisation.
  • Collaborate with fellow committee members to develop and oversee MIFANT's strategic plan and monitor key milestones.
  • Actively participate in board meetings.
  • Advocate for MIFANT's mission and initiatives within your network.
  • Support fundraising efforts and community engagement activities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience and qualifications in a relevant field (finance, business, governance, law, marketing).
  • Strong understanding of not-for-profit governance and operations.
  • Passion for improving community mental health outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to contribute time and expertise to MIFANT.
