DELI CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

FULL TIME & CASUAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE - MUST HAVE PREVIOUS DELI EXPERIENCE

New Farm Deli is located at Merthyr Village in the heart of New Farm are market leaders in the provision of high-end Australian and European deli products - particularly fine cheese and vast selection of charcuterie; are passionate at providing superior product to their clients. Their aim is to delight each and every customer with an exceptional service and shopping experience.

If successful in your application, you will be joining a large and knowledgeable team to serve delicious food to a long-standing, ever-growing customer base boasting 50 years of providoring to Brisbane foodies.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA

  • Previous experience deli customer service or similar role

  • Basic knowledge of fine cheese, meats and gourmet ingredients

  • Experience in meat slicer use - at minimum, basic deli product knowledge /or appreciation

  • Sales, POS & Eftpos knowledge

  • Experience in fast-paced environments

  • Food Handling / food hygiene experience / certification

  • Must be reliable and hardworking

  • Must be impeccably presented

  • Must possess exceptional communication & interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail, must be efficient and move with a sense of urgency

  • Positive outlook, outgoing personality, outstanding initiative and a team player

  • Must be fluent in spoken & written English

  • Must have appropriate work rights / visa status to be able to work in Australia

  • Must be available to work both weekdays and weekends on a rotating roster with potential early morning starts.

  • Must be physically fit as role may involve lifting, packaging, stocking fridges and dry shelves & carrying customer shopping to their cars
