As a
Graduate Forensic Scientist
with
Forensic Science Queensland
, you'll help deliver trusted scientific services that support the justice system.

These positions are part of the Queensland Government's
Law and Justice Graduate Program
, providing a structured learning pathway that includes technical training, mentoring, and development opportunities across the public sector.

What you'll do

  • Conducting research and laboratory analysis to support forensic casework.
  • Writing technical documents, reports, briefing notes and correspondence.
  • Assisting in the preparation of forensic case files and maintaining evidence continuity.
  • Working with investigators, scientists, legal professionals and other stakeholders.

We're seeking graduates who can demonstrate:

Qualifications and conditions

  • have completed a bachelors degree (or higher) in science discipline within the last 2 years
  • hold unrestricted working rights in Australia before commencement
  • meet health and vaccination requirements
  • complete employment screening and disclosure checks
  • Successful applicants will also need to provide a DNA reference sample upon commencement.
