We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Interstate Freight Co-Ordinator to join our team.

Role Overview:

As an Interstate Freight Co-Ordinator, you will play a critical role in organizing and executing interstate freight operations. Your key responsibilities will include negotiating, planning, and coordinating all inbound and outbound interstate movements. You will also be involved in supporting local operations to ensure efficient daily collections and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Coordination: Lead interstate operations in line with business goals and ensure effective planning and execution of freight movements.

Team Management: Coordinate team meetings and actions, support the Local Operations team, and contribute to the achievement of business objectives.

Customer and Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key staff to ensure smooth operations and high service levels.

Cost Management: Assist in implementing cost-effective initiatives, forecasting labour and transport requirements, and maintaining cost-effective staffing levels.

Reporting: Utilize strong reporting skills and intermediate Excel proficiency to provide insights and support decision-making processes.

Innovation and Efficiency: Develop and implement innovative loading plans to maximize profit and improve operational efficiency.

Key Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within the transport and logistics sector, with a strong understanding of refrigerated line haul loading.

Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and planning skills. Strong reporting abilities with intermediate Excel skills.

Legislation Knowledge: Good understanding of relevant legislation and procedures.

Adaptability: Ability to think creatively, react to daily changes, and manage a variety of tasks effectively.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage daily operations, and drive operational change.
