Australian Wildflowers Pty Ltd is one of Australia's most significant native cut flower operations. We are a small team rolling up our sleeves to make it happen. As the business is growing rapidly, there are opportunities for the right candidate to move through the company.
The position is part of our team that undertakes to pick and prepare native cut flowers for the market and maintain the flower farm. Farm maintenance involves pruning, weed management, scouting, fertilising, crop planting and establishment.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist and support the packing shed in harvesting flowers and foliage as instructed
- Assist processing teams in ensuring product availability on time
- Assist in crop husbandry of pruning, weeding, scouting, field maintenance etc
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Driving between our farms to collect the products
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality control
- Maintenance of farm equipment and tools
This position requires a physically fit person who is happy to work outdoors in all conditions. Be enthusiastic and enjoy the work in a team.
Hours of employment would be full-time for the first three months on a casual basis, leading to full-time employment for the right candidate.
Prior experience is not necessary, but applicants must be able to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team.
