The Role
As a CNC Operator & Programmer, you'll be responsible for the precision cutting of components that form the backbone of our products. You'll work with advanced CNC laser cutting equipment, interpreting technical drawings, CAD outputs and nesting programs to produce high-quality parts that meet exacting standards.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork are critical.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating CNC laser cutting machines to meet engineering specifications.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, CAD files, and work orders.
- Preparing and optimising cutting programs, including efficient nesting for maximum material usage.
- Setting up machine parameters and making adjustments to ensure quality and productivity.
- Monitoring production output and inspecting finished parts for accuracy.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Keeping accurate production records and documentation.
- Collaborating with the production team to meet deadlines and targets.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work area.
About You
We're looking for someone who is hands-on, detail-focused, and committed to producing quality work.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- At least 12 months' CNC laser operation experience (essential).
- Experience with HSG laser systems (advantageous but not essential).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with accuracy (essential).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail (essential).
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- A team-focused mindset and strong work ethic.
