As we prepare for growth, we're looking for a hands-on leader to take charge of our fibreglass division and help shape the future of our brand.

The Role

We're seeking a Senior Fibreglass Leader to head up our fibreglass shop. This is a rare opportunity to step into a role where you'll not only lead day-to-day production but also take ownership of policies, procedures, and quality systems. You'll be reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with our engineering and production teams to deliver high-quality composite components for our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small fibreglass team, setting daily and weekly priorities.
• Oversee hand lay-up, gelcoating, vacuum bagging, and resin infusion processes.
• Manage mould preparation, repair, and maintenance.
• Ensure high-quality finishes and structural integrity of all panels.
• Develop and implement workplace policies, SOPs, and QA processes.
• Maintain compliance with WHS standards, including safe chemical handling and PPE requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, equipment, and team training.

Skills & Experience

• Strong, hands-on background in fibreglass/composite manufacturing (automotive, marine, aerospace, or related industries).
• Advanced knowledge of hand lay-up, gelcoat, vacuum bagging, and resin infusion.
• Experience with mould preparation and care.
• Team leadership experience – mentoring, allocating workloads, and meeting deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of WHS obligations in composites manufacturing.
• Trade qualifications are highly recommended, but demonstrated experience will also be considered.

Pay: $28.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Moorooka QLD 4105: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
