Domestic Assistant (Hervey Bay)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking reliable and caring Domestic Assistants to join our team and support individuals in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and takes pride in creating a positive difference in people's daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform household cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and laundry
  • Assist with meal preparation and basic kitchen duties
  • Support clients with grocery shopping and household errands
  • Maintain a safe, hygienic, and organised living environment
  • Provide companionship and general assistance as needed
  • Follow individual care or support plans and report any concerns to supervisors

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) (if applicable)
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
  • Previous experience in domestic assistance, home care, or community support is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, respectful attitude

Availability:

  • Minimum 3 days per week
  • Shifts between 4–8 hours per day
  • Willingness to travel locally (please mention your preferred travel distance)
