The Foundry Hotel Complex has a long history of serving the community with fabulous food and drinks. This contemporary Hotel in Bendigo, is looking to extend the friendly and professional team with a qualified and experienced Chef to work on a full time basis.

This position will include both weekday, evening and weekend shifts.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the kitchens operations, including:

• Food preparation and plate presentation

• Receipt and storage of stock

• Cleanliness of kitchen and equipment

• Preparing and storing food

• Ensuring food safety compliance, including record keeping

• Contribute fresh ideas for menu and specials.

Important characteristics to be considered for this role include:

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and perform multiple tasks at once

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role

• Experience in a busy hotel environment is essential

• Diploma of Commercial Cookery or equivalent

• Ability to contribute as a team member and work unsupervised

• A genuine passion for food

• A resident of the Bendigo area or the ability to relocate
