About Us

At Signature Campers, we design and build premium off-road campers and caravans built for Australia's toughest adventures. Our reputation is built on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and delivering products that inspire customers to explore further and travel in comfort.

We're looking for a motivated and skilled Mechanic to join our production team. You'll play a key role in the mechanical fit-out, assembly, and final preparation of our new off-road campers and caravans.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical assembly of new off-road campers and caravans, including suspension, braking systems, drawbars, wheels, and underbody components.
  • Fit and align towing systems, couplings, hitches, and jockey wheels.
  • Install and connect 12V electrical components (basic wiring, lights, plugs) and assist electricians as required.
  • Carry out plumbing installations for water tanks, pumps, taps, and fittings.
  • Assemble and install internal and external fixtures, kitchens, awnings, and accessories.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all mechanical and assembly work meets our high standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with WHS requirements.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, auto mechanics, or trailer/caravan building.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and effectively.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems, suspension setups, and trailer/caravan components.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience with 12V electrical systems and basic wiring.
  • Knowledge of caravan compliance standards and regulations.
  • Forklift licence or relevant trade qualifications.
