Position summary

Ascot Solicitors is a fast growing boutique general practice law firm with a combined 40 years of experience delivering quality service to its clients.

Due to its expanding growth, an exciting and unique opportunity exists for a General Practice Lawyer at least 1 year PAE to join our office in Deer Park. We also invite more senior and experienced practitioners to apply.

Ascot Solicitors specialises in Wills and Estates, Family Law, Sale and Purchase of Business, Court Litigation, Liquidation and Bankruptcy & Conveyancing.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an admitted solicitor with the ability to practise;

  • Have 1 year PAE (minimum) experience in General Practice, with a focus in Wills & Estates;

  • Have the ability to mostly work autonomously on General Practice files to a high level and manage client requirements & expectations;

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft and various file sharing platforms;

  • Have exceptional communication skills;

  • Have a positive attitude and a team player;

  • Be proactive in their approach; and

  • Have good attention to detail.

The role will involve undertaking the following tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Taking instructions to draft wills and powers of attorney;

  • Preparing probate and letters of administration applications;

  • Running estate dispute files;

  • Contract reviews (building, employment, partnership, business);

  • Solicitor's Certificate advice;

  • Preparing correspondences;

  • Reviewing and drafting written/oral advice; and

  • Attending client meetings and obtaining instructions.

Salary commensurate with experience.
