Breakout Heavy Diesel is growing, and we're looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic who knows their gear, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a high-performance, purpose-driven team.


WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

We service and repair a wide range of earthmoving, civil & mining equipment including:

  • Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, Liebherr
  • Hydraulic, electrical & air systems
  • Component change-outs, engine/drive/hydraulic overhauls
  • Undercarriage, track press, hose making
  • Field service & workshop-based work

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Service, fault-find & repair heavy machinery in various fields
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
  • Deliver detailed job reports using digital systems
  • Respond to breakdowns (No on call)

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You're not just a great mechanic — you're a high performer who:

  • Works independently and in a tight-knit team
  • Ideally brings 3+ years' post-trade experience (Cert III – Mobile Plant / Light Vehicle / Road Transport)
  • Is committed to safety, quality, and results
  • Has a valid C Class licence (MR/HR a plus)
  • Has own tools – we'll supply the specialist gear

Bonus if you have:

  • Forklift / AC / Welding / Working at Heights / Rigging tickets or willing to obtain
  • Experience making hydraulic hoses
  • Diagnostic software knowledge
  • Exposure to trucks & trailers
  • Strong communication + computer skills
