About You

You're a problem solver at heart. You love to tackle a business problem and find an elegant technology solution. Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or higher qualification and a minimum of two years relevant work experience. At least 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for a formal qualification. Previous work experience on Salesforce is essential.

Role Overview

The Salesforce Consultant works with customers collaboratively to deliver and implement Salesforce projects. At a high level, a Salesforce Consultant is actively involved in:

  • The end to end technical delivery of Salesforce projects
  • Design of Salesforce projects & solutions with a Solution Engineer
  • Delivery and Deployment of Salesforce projects & solutions with a Project Management
  • Collaboration with other Salesforce Consultants as part of a delivery team assigned to a Salesforce Project

Salesforce Consultants typically work as part of a wider project team and must collaborate with internal and customer stakeholders to realise successful business outcomes from a Salesforce project. Communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving and time management skills are essential and keys to success in this dynamic role.

Role Mantra's

  • (over) Communicate Everything: Critical to the success of not just this role, but the entire delivery team, is clear, concise communication. This is verbal and written. Good communication helps set customer expectations, internal team expectations and understanding of challenges and work items.
  • Always prioritise quality: Never prioritise speed or timelines at the detriment of quality. We can always negotiate with the customer on timelines and budgets, but we will never negotiate on quality.
  • Empathise with the customer: Put yourself in the shoes of the customer to understand why their solution is relevant and how it positively impacts them
  • Focus on Sustainability & Scale: Everything built in a project needs to be supported by both your teammates and the customer. So build things that are sustainable and can scale.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of customer projects
  • Solution design with assistance from Solution Engineers
  • Project Management framework provided by Project Management team with oversight and guidance.
  • Communicating directly with customers to gather information, validate requirements, discuss project items
  • Run/conduct scheduled and small/ad-hoc sessions with customers (requirements gathering, solution playbacks etc)
  • Preparation of 'development ready' documentation for items that need Development Team assistance (APEX/coding)
  • Preparation of project documentation
  • Training material and videos
  • Technical handover documentation
  • Time logging
  • Ongoing personal development on Salesforce products and services (Trailhead, Partner Learning Camp etc)
