Your new Opportunity:

Our Sydney team is on the hunt for an Intermediate/Senior level accountant with a keen interest to grow with us. You will be assisting senior staff with a wide range of corporate insolvency and restructuring appointments including Voluntary Administrations, Liquidations, Receiverships, Small Business Restructures and other appointments.

Key responsibilities of the role would include;

  • Assist with external administrations underneath senior staff
  • Monitor and meet statutory deadlines
  • Liaise with financiers, lawyers, agents, and auctioneers
  • Prepare investigative reports and conduct fieldwork under supervision
  • Recover company assets and investigate company affairs
  • Handle lodgements and reports for ASIC
  • Review and analyse financial information
  • Communicate with directors, creditors, financial institutions, and government departments

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce with an Accounting Major or other relevant studies (completed or in progress final year)
  • Relevant experience in corporate insolvency of 3+ years
  • Interest to study CAANZ/CPA
  • Strong ethical standards
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet and work towards deadlines
  • Ability to liaise with banks, lawyers, and other professionals
