Mental Health Social Worker (Veteran Support Services)

Brisbane or Surrounding Suburbs | Hybrid | PT or FT (2–5 days p/wk)

$90K–$110K + Super OR 60% Billings (PMA)

Start Date: Late November 2025

Join a purpose-driven organisation supporting the health and wellbeing of Australian Veterans. We're seeking a Mental Health Social Worker to deliver meaningful, client-centred support through a predominantly remote, Monday–Friday role with excellent work–life balance.

Role Overview

You'll play a key role in helping Veterans access the services they need to live safely, independently, and well. This includes:

  • Conducting eligibility checks for support services
  • Completing mental health and psychosocial assessments
  • Linking Veterans with home supports such as cleaning, gardening, cooking/meal preparation etc.
  • Matching health conditions to appropriate service needs
  • Offering trauma-informed, goal-oriented support
  • Transitioning clients into service management once supports are in place
  • Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team
About You
  • Qualification as a Mental Health Social Worker with AASW membership
  • 1–2 years' experience in social work or mental health
  • Experience supporting Veterans (desirable but not essential)
  • Competence delivering services via telehealth
  • Strong communication, empathy, and professional judgement
Location
  • Brisbane or surrounding suburbs preferred
  • Primarily WFH with monthly in-person meetings (Office is located in Spring Hill)
