Account Engineer – Service Electrician

Fully qualified electrician

Experienced industrial electrician working in fast paced production sites.

Fault finding and programming of plc's.

Exposure to service and maintenance of servo motors.

Experience as a field-based service electrician working for a manufacturer.

This company is a clear market leader and one of the largest conglomerates globally in manufacture of leading technology for automated packaging solutions into fast paced production facilities. They have a substantial market share worldwide however in Australia and New Zealand work with coverage based primarily out of Sydney, where their fabrication and consumables facilities are based. They have locations of manufacture in US, France and Asia and their approach to SLA's combined with their superior machinery has led to major installs throughout the ANZ region. This means the ongoing service and maintenance is handled by a relatively small crew of dedicated engineers, led by a highly experienced engineering manager.

The QLD operation is quite small and is supported by an Account Manager that looks after sales for the area both new and ongoing as well as a dedicated account engineer with the entire function backed by our head office in Sydney. We are looking to add another account engineer to the region and this is where you come in.

Your role is to provide complete support to the client sites within QLD, noting that the vast majority are located within Brisbane. There may be occasional travel through QLD or interstate however this will be minimal and most likely not more than one every 2-3 months for less than a week. You will be the technical expert for your client base and your key responsibility is ensuring there is minimal downtime on our machinery and the production lines. Our core customer base is in the food and beverage manufacturing sector, though we do work with pharmaceutical companies as well. You will be working remotely and solving issues for customers on the phone as well as attending sites as required. You will be looking to improve their processes and give training to their inhouse teams to upskill them relieving their reliance on you. With our office presence in Sydney your most effective way of performing this role is to work remotely and you will be given the freedom to work autonomously, planning your schedule as you see fit to get the most out of it and to provide the best support to the customer base. Whilst you are remote, you will not be isolated, with local and global support at your fingertips whenever you need it.

The criteria to be considered for this role is in initial segment of this post and all aspects are essential for you to be considered. The only flexibility we will show is that we will consider someone who is currently working in fast paced production as an inhouse electrician who is looking to transition into a field role with customer interaction and who has the communication skills to be able to do so.

Whilst we cannot disclose the remuneration package until the initial screening, we can assure you it will be competitive and most likely more than your current financial situation. The role will comprise of a base salary, car allowance and the overall earnings will demonstrate to you how serious we are about acknowledging and rewarding your skill set.
