Kitchen Assistant / Dessert Prep – Full Time

Siora Tiramisu is Melbourne's home of handcrafted tiramisu — a growing hospitality business rooted in Italian tradition, quality ingredients, and community connection. We're looking for a passionate Kitchen Assistant / Dessert Prep to join our team as we continue to grow.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a kitchen environment, loves food (especially desserts), and wants to learn more about Italian flavours and techniques.

About the Role

You'll be assisting in the preparation of our tiramisu trays and desserts, supporting daily kitchen operations, and working closely with our small team to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with preparation and assembly of tiramisu trays and desserts
  • General kitchen prep and cleaning duties
  • Following food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assisting with stock preparation and basic kitchen organisation
  • Supporting service and production during busy periods

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has some experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment
  • Has a genuine interest in Italian desserts or hospitality
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Is reliable, organised, and eager to learn
  • Takes pride in their work and attention to detail

Previous experience with desserts or pastry is a bonus, but not essential — training will be provided for the right person.
