About the Role

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Blast and Coating Operators to join our brand-new Wingfield facility on a permanent full-time basis. This role will form part of our pipe manufacturing and coating operations, focusing on surface preparation and protective coating of pipes and fittings.

This is a hands-on position suited to individuals with a strong work ethic, a safety-first approach, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out blasting of pipes and fittings to ensure correct surface preparation for coating.
  • Apply protective coatings to pipes and fittings in line with AVK quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections to maintain consistency, durability, and compliance with coating requirements.
  • Operate blasting and coating equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively within the coating team to achieve production schedules and meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following all AVK safety policies and relevant procedures.
  • Record coating and blasting data accurately and report any equipment or process issues.

About You

  • Previous experience in blasting and/or industrial coating operations will be highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with surface preparation techniques, coating applications, or related manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving consistent, high-quality results.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to shared production goals.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to perform manual tasks safely and effectively.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to evolving operational requirements.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
