Limestone Coast Technical College: Shaping the Future of Technical Education in South Australia.

Limestone Coast Technical College will be a visionary institution that aims to revolutionize technical education in South Australia. The State Government is investing in Technical Colleges that will set the standard for excellence in their design, learning environment and delivery of skill-based training for school-enrolled students.

Located in the Education, Training and Research precinct on Wireless Road, set to open in 2026, Limestone Coast Technical College will rpovide students with access to industry training on a part-time basis while staying enrolled in their home school. It will support not only public students from across the Limestone Coast Region, but will be open to students from the private school sector.

Limestone Coast Technical College will have short stay accommodation facilities on site and offer four industry training programs for careers in Agri-tech (for careers in forestry, agriculture, and manufacturing), Early Childhood and Education, Health and Social Support, and Multi0Trades (for careers as plumbers, builders, electricians).

We are searching for an exceptional Youth Worker to join our dynamic team and make a positive impact on our students.

What you will do:

• Support wellbeing and safety of students in both the college and accommodation facility
• Develop and implement student support plans in collaboration with enrolled students
• Work as poart of the Industry Specialisation Teams with a focus on wellbeing, coaching and support services
• Collaborate with schools, staff, families, and external providers to support student success

What you will need:

• Demonstrated ability to select and apply effective communication skills both orally and in writing, including conflict resolution skills that are effective with a diverse range of groups and individuals
• Demonstrated ability to wokr with young people, their teachers and parents/carers, to improve their participation, engagement and achievement in their industry pathway.
• Demonstrated experience in providing a quality student support service for young people who experience mental health, learning, wellbeing or social barriers to their education to improve their participation, engagement and achievement in schooling
